The American Hospital Association asked CEATH Company and its partners at CORE/ROI to develop a simulation of the American health care crisis. The simulation was to be aimed at top administrators and chief financial officers, but it also needed to be simple and engaging enough for the general public. The result was a dramatic simulation, HealthyIntegration, which puts learners in the roles of doctors, hospital administrators, employers, insurance companies and Medicare. The idea was to represent all constituencies in the health care industry with their sometimes conflicting motivations. Using HealthyIntegration, participants are able to explore different models for health care delivery while testing the resulting effects on costs and on patient quality of care.
